Head Coach: Mickey-Miles Felton
  • 1963 Began lacrosse career at Cheshire Academy, CT. Played for Coach Stuart Lindsey
  • 1976 Began career at the University of Arizona Lacrosse, Tucson, AZ
  • 1980 Co-founder and Past President of the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League
  • 1980-‘81-‘82-’83 and ’88 Western Collegiate Lacrosse League "Coach of the Year"
  • 1987 Became Member of the Century Club (100 wins) by the US Lacrosse Coaches Association
  • 1990 Head Coach: Western Collegiate Lacrosse League Champion, University of Arizona
  • 1994 Became Member of the USLCA "200 Win Club"
  • 1998 Executive Vice President of USL Intercollegiate Associates Council
  • 1998 Recipient of the "Lifetime Achievement" Award presented by Arizona Chapter US Lacrosse
  • 2001 Was the University of Arizona's 3rd appearance in the 6 years of the USLIA National Championship Tournament
  • 2001 Following the season retired from Head Coach responsibilities at the University of AZ
  • 2002-2007: Director of Lacrosse Operations - University of Arizona Men's Lacrosse Team
  • 2002 Began Middle School Coaching career with the Tucson Scorpion Junior HS Team
  • 2005 Achieved 300th career win against the Tucson Sabercats on April 23, 2005
  • 2006 Western Collegiate Lacrosse League renamed their Championship Trophy
    "The Mickey-Miles Felton WCLL Championship"
  • 2007 Returned to Coach the University of Arizona as Associate Head Coach & continuing roll of Director of Lacrosse Operations. Team went to the MCLA National Championships.
  • 2008 Retired from all aspects at the University of Arizona after 32 years.
  • 2008 The University of Arizona retired #14 Jersey at Homecoming, October 25, 2008
  • 2008-09 Head Coach of Catalina Foothills High School Falcons Boys Lacrosse Club Team.
  • 2009-10 Returns as Head Coach of the University of Arizona Men’s Lacrosse Club Team

 

Assistant Coach, Offense: Drew Maceranka
After a standout high school career at Somers High School in New York, Drew Maceranka was recruited by Laxcat Alumni and Head Coach Eric Fekete at Quinnipiac University in Hamden CT. At D1 Quinnipiac he was a 4-year starter on defense and in 2008 was Captain of the Bobcats. In 2008 he also attained Team MVP status, First Team All New England, All Great Western Lacrosse League and was selected to the NCAA North/South All-star game. After graduation, he became an assistant coach receiving a wealth of experience which he combines with his on field knowledge and brings to the Laxcats.

 

Assistant Coach, Defense: Lewis Lipscomb
An All-America nominee at Denison University and a product of Boys' Latin School in Baltimore, Maryland, Coach Lipscomb will bring a positive intensity with an outgoing personality. He brings fire to the defense along with an understanding of the game of Lacrosse. He knows the formula for success and appreciates sharing it with The Laxcats.

 

Assistant Coach, Midfield: Chris Corey
Joining the staff for 2010, Chris played his high school Lacrosse at The Salesianum School, Wilmington, DE before moving on to play collegiately at Virginia Tech where he played midfield. His next stop was Washington-Lee High School in Arlington Virginia where he served as Varsity Head Coach from 2007 through 2009. He successfully turned the team around and in 2009 was acknowledged by the Virginia AAA National District as Coach of the Year.

 

Manager: Anna Kopca
Anne is a senior at Arizona and continues to run the show for the Laxcat managers. She also enjoys taking candid photos and putting them up on Facebook.

 

Assistant Manager: Sofia Langan
Sofia is a freshman from Brooklyn , NY who managed her High School team.

 

Team President: Frankie Connell
Franklin "Frankie" Connell played his high school Lacrosse at Desert Vista HS in the Phoenix area where he played attack and midfield while starring for the Thunder. He entered Arizona in the Fall of 2006 and has been a fixture in the Laxcat program since. His leadership manifested itself through the Executive Board at a time when the Program was in dire need of strong direction. Frankie's love and passion for the sport and the Laxcats led him to his current roll as President for 2009-10.
